SleepBoo values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the SleepBoo app.

1. Data We Collect

• Account data: UUID generated by Supabase Auth, name, email, and avatar (when you sign in with Apple or Google).
• Health data (HealthKit): sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), respiratory rate, blood oxygen, body temperature, steps, active energy, exercise minutes, time in daylight, and mindful sessions. Collected only with your explicit permission on iOS.
• App usage data: sleep sessions, meditations, breathing exercises, completed missions, alarms, app blocker settings, and gamification progress (XP, streaks, items).
• Mission media: photos and videos you choose to capture as proof of missions. These are stored locally on your device unless you opt to sync with our cloud.
• Purchase data: subscription and purchase history processed by Apple via In-App Purchase, managed by RevenueCat.
• Technical data: device identifier (IDFV), push notification token, and optionally diagnostic logs for error correction.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Provide SleepBoo features (tracking, meditation, missions, alarms).
• Calculate sleep scores, streaks, and in-app rewards.
• Manage your premium subscription and allow purchase restoration.
• Send local notifications for alarms, reminders, and missions.
• Improve app stability and experience.

We do not sell your personal or health data. We do not use health data for advertising, marketing, or commercial profiling.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

• Contract/ functionality: account data, app usage, and purchases.
• Explicit consent: HealthKit data and camera/microphone. You may revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
• Legitimate interest: stability diagnostics and security.

4. Sharing with Third Parties

We only share data with providers necessary to operate the app:

5. Health Data (HealthKit)

SleepBoo reads data from Apple Health only with your authorization. This data is used solely for sleep, meditation, and wellness features within the app.

• We do not store raw health data on external servers.
• We do not sell, rent, or share health data with advertisers.
• You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings > Health > Data Access > SleepBoo.

6. Storage and Retention

• Account data: retained until you delete your account.
• Usage data and local media: retained on device until uninstall or deletion.
• Diagnostic data: up to 12 months, if applicable.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your data.
• Revoke consent (HealthKit, notifications, camera, microphone).
• Request data portability.
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest.

8. Account Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data in Settings > Delete My Account. Deletion may take up to 30 days to complete across all backup systems.

9. Children

SleepBoo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Security

We adopt technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and access control. No system is 100% secure; if a breach occurs, we will notify users and authorities as required by law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The latest version will always be available in the app and at https://sleepboo.app/en/privacy.
